Viktoria "Viki" Wolffhardt (born June 26, 1994 in Tulln on the Danube ) is an Austrian canoeist . The two-time junior world champion and multiple medalist starts in both a kayak (K1) and a canoe (C1). In 2015 she finished third in the overall canoe slalom World Cup.

Life

Viktoria Wolffhardt started slalom on the Danube at the age of eight . As a result, she was trained by her father until she made the jump to the national team at the age of 15. She had her first success in 2010 at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , where she won the bronze medal in the kayak single (K1). The following year, she paddled for silver in the team competition at the European Championships in La Seu d'Urgell with Corinna Kuhnle and Violetta Oblinger-Peters . At the EM 2013 in Krakow she jumped into the breach for her favorite compatriot, double world champion Kuhnle, and won her first individual medal in the general class with bronze in K1. In 2015, Wolffhardt managed to get the OKV to start in the Canadier . At the World Championships in 2014 and 2015 , she was able to win a medal as a team, as well as at the U23 European Championship in 2015, because even the gold medal. She finished the Canoe Slalom World Cup in 2015 in third place overall.

With regard to the 2016 Olympic Games Wolffhardt was in the Hope squad ÖOC added, Corinna Kuhnle was beaten in the internal qualification though. At the U23 World Cup 2016 in Nova Gorica , she won the gold medal in an individual discipline for the first time in the kayak single. After another silver medal with the team at the World Championships in Pau , she celebrated the biggest success of her career to date with the European Championship in Canadier.

Viktoria Wolffhardt is an HSZ athlete in the armed forces and is studying biology and English to become a teacher.
