description

The two-storey, today under monument protection standing Villa has a "painterly irregular facade elevation" and on top of a hip roof with bricks form on the First and Dachgraten .

In the street view there is a risalit with a split gable , to the left of it a single-storey stand bay window . To the right of the risalits is a massive veranda with pilasters and arched windows, while all the other large windows are rectangular windows. In the north view of the garden there is a polygonal bay window with a grooved roof and a side elevation on the back of the house. In the southern side view there is a wooden entrance porch.

The facade is adorned with "striking Art Nouveau ornamentation".

The large garden on Goethestrasse , originally the construction site planned for No. 18, is now considered a work of landscape and garden design .

history

In 1902 the "building contractor" Heinrich Findeisen had the architect Carl Käfer design a house for himself . After the building application in January 1902, a building inspection was carried out in July of that year with a ban on use due to complaints. In September 1904 the completed building was sold on.

In 1922 the building was extended by the architect Ferdinand Severitt , including the polygonal stand bay window. The current enclosure dates from 1928.

In 1996 the property was acquired by Switzerland and used as the residence of the Swiss consul in Saxony until 2006 . The villa is now used for private residential purposes again.
