Vince DiCola
Vincent Louis DiCola (born November 1957 in Lancaster , Pennsylvania ) is an American film composer and keyboardist .
Life
DiCola moved to California after training as a percussionist . Initially he worked as a studio musician and played synthesizers for Juice Newton . In 1983 he was hired together with Frank Stallone as a composer for the feature film Staying Alive . He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Far From Over , composed with Stallone , and received a Grammy Award nomination for his work on the film's soundtrack . In 1986 he was awarded the Golden Raspberry for the worst soundtrack of the year for the film music for Rocky IV - The Fight of the Century . In the same year DiCola composed the music for Transformers - The Battle for Cybertron and in 2004 for the film Sci-Fighter .
DiCola released three solo albums; Album Artistically Beatles from 1993 consists of cover versions of Beatles -Titeln. He also worked as a musician and producer for artists such as Rick Springfield and Glenn Hughes .
