Vincenc Tuček

František Vincenc Tuček , also Vinzenz Tuczek ( February 2, 1755 in Prague - November 2, 1820 in Budapest ) was a Czech singer , conductor and composer.

Life

Tuček began his career as a singer and as a conductor in the Hyberner House and went as a harpsichordist on the national stage in Prague. In 1797 he became court conductor with the Duke of Courland , Peter von Biron in Sagan and Náchod . In 1799 he went to Breslau as Kapellmeister . From 1806 to 1809 he worked at the Leopoldstadt Theater in Vienna and then in Budapest . He composed operas , operettas and musical plays , symphonies and instrumental concerts as well as church music.

His son was the musician and composer František Tuček (1782-1850), his daughter Leopoldine Tuček (1821-1883) an opera singer.

  1. According to Wurzbach and Kutsch-Riemens, the OeML states 1773. Rather unlikely as his son was born in 1782.
