Vincent Peiris
Vincent Marius Joseph Peiris (born October 11, 1941 in Moratuwa , Sri Lanka ) is a Sri Lankan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Colombo .
Life
Vincent Peiris received on 25 January 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 16 November 2000 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Tacarata and ordered him Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo. The Archbishop of Colombo, Nicholas Marcus Fernando , donated him episcopal ordination on February 3, 2001 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Trincomalee-Batticaloa , Joseph Kingsley Swampillai , and the Bishop of Anuradhapura , Oswald Gomis .
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 4, 2018.
