Vincenzo Benestante

Vincenzo Benestante (born June 16, 1945 in Chicago ( Illinois ), USA ) is a German actor , radio play speaker , author , translator and singer .

Live and act

Vincenzo Benestante graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1968 with a bachelor's degree . As an opera singer, he had several stage appearances in Switzerland between 1968 and 1970. From 1970 to 1998 he worked at various theaters in Germany, Italy and France as well as on German television. Radio plays with his participation were also made during this time. After a long stay in the USA, Benestante turned to Panama , where he was again employed as an actor and opera singer between 2007 and 2012.

Since 2002 Benestante has also worked as a freelance writer. He translated - often together with his wife Sabina Trooger - a number of novels from American into German.

Vincenzo Benestante has lived in Berlin since 2012.
