Vincenzo Bertolone SdP (born November 17, 1946 in San Biagio Platani ) is Archbishop of Catanzaro-Squillace .

Life

Vincenzo Bertolone joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Servants of the Poor and was ordained a priest on May 17, 1975 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Undersecretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life on June 12, 2003 . Benedict XVI. appointed him Bishop of Cassano all'Jonio on March 10, 2007, and he was instituted on May 13 of the same year.

The Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain , Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB , consecrated him bishop on May 3rd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Franc Rodé CM , Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and Vittorio Luigi Mondello , Archbishop of Reggio Calabria-Bova .

As a motto he chose Humiliter in lumine vultus tui . He was appointed Archbishop of Catanzaro - Squillace on March 25, 2011 and was introduced to the office on May 29 of the same year.
