Domenico Graziani (born May 23, 1944 in Calopezzati , Province of Cosenza , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina .

Life

Domenico Graziani received on January 5 in 1968 with Michele Federici in the Cathedral of Santa Severina the priesthood . After further studies, he obtained a degree in dogmatics from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and another degree from the Pontifical Biblical Institute . From 1984 to 1992 he was pastor in Botricello . This was followed by various positions as a lecturer in dogmatics, u. a. at the Pontifical Theological Seminary of St. Pius X in Catanzaro .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cassano all'Jonio on August 21, 1999 . He was ordained episcopal by the Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Lucas Cardinal Moreira Neves OP , on October 10th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Andrea Mugione , Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina, and Giuseppe Agostino , Archbishop of Cosenza-Bisignano . As a motto he chose Verbo gratiae commendatus .

On November 21, 2006 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina. Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 7, 2019.
