Angelo Raffaele Panzetta
Angelo Raffaele Panzetta (born August 26, 1966 in Pulsano , Taranto Province ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina .
Life
Angelo Raffaele Panzetta attended the boys' seminar and entered the regional seminar in Molfetta after graduating from high school . On April 14, 1993 he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Taranto .
After further studies in moral theology at the Pontifical Alfonsian Academy , he obtained his licentiate in 1994 and was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD . In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he was, among other things, personal secretary of Archbishop Benigno Luigi Papa OFMCap . From 2000 to 2002 Spiritual was at the interdiocesan seminary in Poggio Galeso and from 2008 to 2011 at the regional seminary in Molfetta. At times he was responsible for the archdiocese and later for the Apulia region for family pastoral work. From 2006 until his appointment as Archbishop he was spiritual assistant to the Charismatic Renewal Community in the Archdiocese of Taranto. At the Theological Institute for Apulia, he taught moral theology as a permanent associate lecturer. From 2008 to 2011 he was Vice President and then President of the institute.
On November 7, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina. The Archbishop of Taranto, Filippo Santoro , ordained him episcopal on December 27th of the same year in the Taranto Co-cathedral . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Benigno Luigi Papa OFMCap and his predecessor as Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina, Domenico Graziani .
