Vinessa Lynn Antoine (born July 21, 1983 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress of Trinidadian-Tobacco descent.

life and career

Vinessa Antoine was born on July 21, 1983 in the metropolis of Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario and grew up in a suburb of Toronto with a younger brother and her parents. She began dancing at the age of four and attended the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York for three years from the age of 18 . In her last year at the theater company, the young dancer rediscovered her passion for acting, which she had already had as a child. Subsequently, she concentrated increasingly on acting and subsequently appeared in off-Broadway productions. After four years in New York City, she then moved to Los Angeles. As a hip-hop dancer, she toured the United States with P. Diddy for around six months . From 2007 she appeared again increasingly in film and television productions. As early as the mid-1990s, she was used in various productions in childhood and adolescence. She hardly had any significant roles in J. In 2016 she also worked as a choir director in the short film The Choir by Randall Okita .

Together with her two sons Lestat (* 2003) and Basquiat (* 2007), Vinessa Antoine now lives as a single mother in Los Angeles , California . Before moving to Los Angeles, she lived in Toronto, New York City and also briefly in Los Angeles and returned to Canada in 2007, where she settled in Ajax . Only later did she return to the Golden State . She was married to Matt Levy from around 2014 and reported having separated from him in early 2017.
