Vito Noto (* 1955 in Ragusa , Italy ) is an Italian designer.

Life

In 1958 the family moved to Switzerland in the canton of Lucerne and in 1969 to Ticino . In 1976 Noto graduated from the Scuola Politecnica del Design in Milan , where he was taught by Italian and international professors such as Nino di Salvatore, Alberto Rosselli, Isao Hosoe, Narciso Silvestrini, Bruno Munari , Max Huber, Achille Castiglioni and Bob Noorda .

After professional experience in design offices in Zurich , Hamburg and Paris , he founded his studio for industrial design in Cadro - Lugano , Ticino . Important collaborations with companies in the fields of capital and consumer goods, product design, corporate product design, interface design for machines and homepages, graphic design, trade fair stand design and art exhibitions followed.

His work has been awarded the Swiss Design Prize , Compasso d'Oro , IF Die gute Industrieform , ADI Design Index. In addition to his professional activity, he has didactic tasks at technical colleges and universities and from 2005 to 2016 he was President of FotoClubLugano.
