Vivian Bang (born October 23, 1973 in South Korea ) is an American actress of South Korean descent.

Life

Bangs parents emigrated from South Korea to the United States, where they are first in San Francisco ( California ) and then later around Atlanta ( Georgia settled). Bang attended Dunwoody High School there, where her teacher Pamela Barnett got her interested in acting. After leaving school Bang moved to New York and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University .

Bang appeared in various plays in New York and Los Angeles. In the cinema she was mostly seen in minor supporting roles, including in the films The Ex-girlfriends of my friend (2004), The Yes-Sager (2008) and Boy Toy (2011). On television she played guest roles in a number of different productions such as Numbers - The Logic of Crime , Sex and the City , The Corner , Monk , Dr. House and How I Met Your Mother . From 2012 to 2014 she was a permanent member of the sitcom Sullivan & Son and in 2016 she played a permanent role in the satirical crime series Swedish Dicks .
