Vladimir Latin (born May 30, 1985 in Narva ) is an Estonian rower .

Sporting successes

Latin had its first international appearance at the 2003 Junior World Championships in Athens . He finished there in a double scull with Oleg Dmitrijev in 20th place. In 2004, the duo just missed a medal at the U23 world regatta with fourth place. However, they managed to do this at the U23 World Championships in Amsterdam , where they were able to win the bronze medal. In 2006 Latin started with Leonid Gulov at the World Championships in Eton . However, they dropped out early and only finished 20th. The following year Latin switched to the Estonian four-four . In the line-up of Igor Kuzmin , Vladimir Latin, Allar Raja and Kaspar Taimsoo , the boat took eighth place at the 2007 World Rowing Championships in Oberschleißheim . At the European Championships they were fifth. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing they again missed the A final and finished ninth. Latin started at the European Championships in Athens in 2008 with Kaspar Taimsoo in a double scull. The duo won the silver medal there. Together with Andrei Jämsä , Igor Kuzmin and Tõnu Endrekson , Latin won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Brest . They finished tenth at the 2009 World Rowing Championships .
