Vladimir Stantchev

Vladimir Stantchev (born June 27, 1974 ) is a German-Bulgarian computer scientist .

Life

Stantchev studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin from 2000 until September 2004 computer science . From 2005 to the end of 2007 he received his doctorate from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the TU Berlin. rer. nat. As part of his dissertation (first reviewer: Hermann Krallmann , second reviewer Stefan Jähnichen ), he created an approach for the assurance of quality properties within a service-oriented architecture as a special case of a distributed system . The approach is called Architectural Translucency.

After a stay as a postdoctoral researcher fellow at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) at the University of California, Berkeley (USA) in 2008, Stantchev was head of the SOA research center at the Institute for Information Systems in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the TU Berlin.

In 2010 he followed a call at the University of Economics & Management as a professor for business informatics (focus on enterprise architectures , cloud computing , e-business ). Since 2012 he has been working as a full-time professor for computer science at the SRH Hochschule Berlin and is director of the Institute for Information Systems .

At the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) at the University of California, Berkeley (USA), he is an Affiliated Researcher in Scott Shenker's Networking Group . He is co-editor of several international journals, u. a. "The International Journal On Advances in Security", "The International Journal On Advances in Software" and "The International Journal On Advances in Internet Technology". Vladimir Stantchev is a member of the IEEE , the IEEE Computer Society , the IEEE Education Society , the Association for Computing Machinery and the Gesellschaft für Informatik . In February 2015 he was appointed Senior Member SMIEEE of the IEEE. In 2010 he was appointed a Fellow of the IARIA (The International Academy, Research, and Industry Association).

As CIO and scientific director of the cloud computing pioneer Asperado, he works together with Gerrit Tamm on the implementation of research approaches in the field of functional and qualitative matching within the framework of a marketplace for mobile and web-based services.

Vladimir Stantchev is married and has two children.
