The Volane is a river in France that runs in the Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the northern foothills of the Cevennes in the municipality of Mézilhac . The source is located on the eastern flank of the Suc de l'Areilladou (1448 m) in the Areilladou ski area of ​​the same name in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park . The Volane drains in the upper reaches in an easterly direction, then turns to the south and flows into the Ardèche as a left tributary after 23 kilometers opposite Labégude , but still in the municipality of Vals-les-Bains .
