Volksbank Nürtingen eG

Volksbank Nürtingen eG was founded as early as 1863 as a craftsman's bank. At the inaugural meeting in the Nürtingen “Sonne”, two civil servants and five craftsmen were present. The technical structure of the bank's committee is clearly evident in this personnel composition.

Volksbank Kirchheim-Teck eG

Volksbank Kirchheim-Teck eG was founded in 1927 as the Gewerbebank KirchheimTeck eGmbH and had its office in the former restaurant of the butcher's shop Friedrich Riethmüller at Marktstrasse 25. On March 18, 1940, the bank was given its name, which it carried until it merged with Volksbank Nürtingen in 2001 - Volksbank Kirchheim-Teck eG.

Merger to form Volksbank Kirchheim-Nürtingen eG

At the respective representative meetings on May 14, 2001 in Kirchheim and May 15, 2001 in Nürtingen, the representatives voted with an overwhelming majority in favor of a merger of the two Volksbanks under the motto “Strong together”. The acquiring bank is Volksbank Nürtingen eG, the transferring bank is Volksbank Kirchheim-Teck eG. The name of the new bank is Volksbank Kirchheim-Nürtingen eG, based in Nürtingen.

Planned merger to form Volksbank Mittlerer Neckar

In September 2020, the Volksbank Kirchheim-Nürtingen is to merge with the Volksbank Esslingen and the Berkheimer Bank retroactively from January 1, 2020 . The new Volksbank Mittlerer Neckar will have its headquarters in Esslingen and the central administration in Wendlingen .

Initial and continuing education

The training offer ranges from the 2.5-year apprenticeship as a bank clerk to the shortened apprenticeship as a financial assistant to a degree at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) for a Bachelor of Arts.
