Rabčice (Hungarian Rabcsice ) is a municipality in the far north of Slovakia with 2038 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and belongs to the Okres Námestovo , a district of the Žilinský kraj .
geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the Podbeskydská brázda furrow under Babia hora ( 1723 m nm ) at the confluence of several streams, in the traditional Orava landscape . The Polish border runs east of the town . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 700 m nm and is 14 kilometers from Námestovo .
history
The place was created in the early 17th century by the relocation of some residents of the neighboring Rabča and was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1616.
