Bobrov (Hungarian Bobró , Polish Bobrów ) is a municipality in central Slovakia .
It is located in the Beskydy Mountains in the Orava region on the Bobrovec stream north of the Arwa reservoir , 5 km northeast of the town of Námestovo .
The first written mention was made in 1550, in 1564 the place is also mentioned directly as Bobrowa . There is a church of St. Jacob from 1753 in the village.
