The Volksbank eG , based in Warendorf is a German cooperative bank . It was created on January 1, 2015 from the merger of Volksbank Ahlen-Sassenberg-Warendorf eG and Volksbank Oelde-Ennigerloh-Neubeckum eG.

On August 1, 2019, it merged with Volksbank im Ostmünsterland eG retroactively to the beginning of the year .

With a customer volume of around 5 billion, the Volksbank is one of the larger Volksbanks in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The legal basis is the cooperative law and the articles of association of Volksbank eG. The organs of a cooperative bank, including Volksbank eG, are the board of directors, the supervisory board and the general assembly.

The board of directors of Volksbank eG consists of four members who were appointed by the supervisory board. You manage the bank independently, represent it externally and manage the business. The Management Board is accountable to the Supervisory Board and the members of the bank.
