Volkstrott was a Berlin band that played medieval rock with bagpipes and violin , among other things .

history

The band was founded in 1999 by Benjamin Blisse and David See under the name Volxtrott . In the beginning, the band played more punk- based music, but also back then with the violin. In 2001, after a few changes of line-up and a shift in the musical style, the name was changed to Volkstrott .

In December 2002 the first demo EP was released with Lebensworthy , followed in February 2005 by the second with gambling addiction . In addition, Volkstrott played many concerts.

In 2006 singer David See left the band to devote himself entirely to theater acting . Despite a record deal that had already been signed, the band was about to break up. But a new singer was found in “LeBen”.

In the spring of 2007, the first album called Death Art was released , which was received differently by critics. With the CD and Germany-wide appearances, the band's popularity outside the Berlin-Brandenburg region increased . On November 21, 2008 her next album was released in the face of barbarism . Both albums were produced by Soulfood .

Volkstrott played as support for Coppelius , Cultus Ferox , Fiddler's Green , last instance , ASP , Schandmaul and Corvus Corax . The band's bagpiper, Feuerteufel, has been with Cultus Ferox since 2009.
