Vrads Herred
Vrads Herred was a Harde ( Danish : Herred ) in the Danish district of Skanderborg Amt until 1970 . Until 1822 the Harde belonged to the Ringkøbing Amt and first came to the Århus Amt , with the division of this office to the Skanderborg Amt in 1824.
The Harde consisted of 10 parishes :
- Ejstrup Sogn
- Hammer Sogn
- Klovborg Sogn
- Linnerup Sogn
- Nørre Snede Sogn
- Them Sogn
- Tørring Sogn
- Virklund Sogn
- Vrads Sogn
- Eels Sogn
Dissolution in 1970
In 1970, most of the Harde was added to the Vejle Amt : the parishes of Ejstrup Sogn , Klovborg Sogn and Nørre Snede Sogn became the Nørre-Snede municipality , and Tørring Sogn , Hammer Sogn , Linnerup Sogn and Åle Sogn became Uldum together with the parishes Sogn , Grejs Sogn , Langskov Sogn and Sindbjerg Sogn from Harde Nørvang Herred ( Vejle Amt ) and the parishes of Hornborg Sogn and Hvirring Sogn from Harde Nim Herred ( Skanderborg Amt ) formed the Tørring-Uldum municipality , all in the "new" Vejle Amt . From the parishes, Them Sogn and Vrads Sogn , together with the parishes Bryrup Sogn and Vinding Sogn from the Harde Tyrsting Herred, the Them municipality was formed in the “new” Århus office and the parish Virklund Sogn was added to the local Silkeborg municipality . The northeast corner of the parish Vrads Sogn came back to the Ringkøbing Amt.
The former components have been in Ikast-Brande Kommune (Nørre-Snede) and Silkeborg Kommune (Them), both in the Midtjylland region , since 2007 .
