The Vyatskaya Peak ( Russian Гора Вяткая Gora Wjatkaja , German , Wjatkaberg ' , Norwegian Vjatskajatoppen ) is a 2,455 m high summit at the northern end of the Skavlrimen in Weyprechtbergen the Hoelfjella in East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
The mountain was discovered and mapped using aerial photographs during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Participants in an Antarctic expedition carried out from 1960 to 1961 probably named it after the Russian river Vyatka . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names converted the Russian name into English in 1970.
