The 1959/60 season was the eighth regular season of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in North America . The champions were the Vancouver Canucks .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Saskatoon Quakers stopped playing.
- The Spokane Spokes stopped the game.
- The New Westminster Royals went inactive.
- The Spokane Comets were added to the league as an expansion team.
mode
In the regular season, the seven teams played 70 games each. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
