The Spokane Comets were an American ice hockey franchise of the Western Hockey League based in Spokane , Washington .
history
The Spokane Comets were founded as a franchise for the Western Hockey League for the 1959/60 season . The team's most successful season was the 1961/62 season , in which they reached second place in the South Division of the WHL.
Following the 1962/63 season , the Spokane Comets were relocated to Denver , Colorado and henceforth played as the Denver Invaders in the WHL.
