All-Star Game

The WNBA's first All-Star Game won the Western Conference team against the Eastern Conference team 79:61. The first throw in a WNBA All-Star Game was scored by Sheryl Swoopes of the Houston Comets . After the game, Lisa Leslie became the first player in WNBA history to be named Most Valuable Player in the All-Star Game. Leslie stood on the field for 17 minutes, scoring 13 points and five rebounds .
