The Lykan Hyper Sport is a mid-engine - super sports car of 2012 in Lebanon based car manufacturer W Motors . The company is based in Dubai . Only seven vehicles were built. The cost is $ 3.4 million.
The vehicle was first shown to the public at the Qatar Motor Show in February 2013. The production version was presented at the Top Marques in Monaco in April 2014, and the vehicles were sold from December 2014. In June 2015 a Lykan HyperSport was delivered to the Abu Dhabi police .
The super sports car is powered by a 582 kW (791 hp) 3.7-liter boxer engine from Ruf . The Lykan HyperSport reaches a top speed of 385 km / h.
The scissor doors are hinged at the back . Thus the Lykan HyperSport has a unique selling point among the series vehicles.
A Lykan HyperSport was also featured in the movie Fast & Furious 7 . The Universal Studios bought ten stunt vehicles for this purpose.
