Wacław Oszajca , pseudonyms Jakub Nadbystrzycki , JaNad , Tadeusz Cieśla (born September 28, 1947 in Zwiartów ) is a Polish clergyman, Jesuit , theologian , journalist , publicist and poet .

Life

In 1971 Oszajca finished his theology studies at the Catholic University of Lublin and was ordained a priest. He has been a member of the Jesuits since 1987. He was vicar and student chaplain in Niederzwica Kościelna , Lublin and Lubartów , from 1982 to 1986 he was chairman of the Committee for Aid to Internees and Those Affected by Repression, from 1987 to 1988 novice of the Jesuits in Kalisz and Gdynia , from 1988 to 1992 Jesuit priest of Christian Cultural Center in Poznan , from 1992 to 1994 lecturer at the Technical University of Lublin and from 1995 to 2006 editor-in-chief of "Przegląd Powszechny". From 2001 he teaches ethics at the Pontifical Theological Faculty in Warsaw , from 2003 he was a lecturer at the Institute of Journalism at Warsaw University .

In 1974 Oszajca made his debut as a poet in the monthly "Msza Święta". He is the author of many books, poetry and translations, among others he has published in "Akcent", "Character", " Gazeta Wyborcza ", "Gość Niedzielny", " Tygodnik Powszechny ", "W drodze", "Życie Duchowe" and "Scena ". He has received many awards for literature and journalism. He designed programs on religious topics on radio and television and is a member of the Polish Writers 'Association (SPP), the Polish Journalists' Association and program councilor at the cultural East Foundation "Akcent".

His texts were translated into German by Norbert Weiß and published in the anthology Lubliner Lift and on Portalpolen. Oszajca was a participant in the German-Polish poetry festival in Leipzig in 1995 and Lublin in 1997.
