The Wakha is a right tributary of the Suru in the Indian union territory of Ladakh .

The Wakha rises in the Himalayas 30 km north-northeast of the Pensi La pass. It flows mainly in a northerly direction. The national highway NH 1D ( Kargil - Lamayuru ) leads from the Namika La pass down into the Wakha river valley and runs from the village of Wakha along the course of the river to Kargil, where the Wakha flows into the Suru. The Wakha has a length of 70 km.
