Location of Walchstadt in Bavaria

Walchstadt is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Icking in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district .

The place is southwest of the core town Icking. The B 11 runs not far to the east, and the Isar also flows to the east . The A 95 runs not far to the west.

Attractions

In the list of architectural monuments in Icking , two architectural monuments are listed for Walchstadt :

  • The late Gothic Catholic branch church of St. Bartholomäus, a hall building with a retracted choir and west tower, was renewed around 1685 and around 1740. The pointed helmet dates from 1895/96. The cemetery wall , an unplastered Klaubstein wall with a hollow brick covering , was built in the 17th and 18th centuries. Century erected.
  • The residential part of a former farmhouse (Walchstadter Straße 65) from the first half of the 18th century is a flat gable roof building with a log-built upper floor, a surrounding arbor and partially clad gable arbor . The gable and arbor date from the second half of the 19th century. The grain box is a two-story block building from the end of the 16th century. The superstructure took place later.
