Waldemar Stanisław summer day
Waldemar Stanisław Sommertag (born February 6, 1968 in Więcbork ) is a Polish clergyman, Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
Waldemar Stanisław Sommertag received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Pelplin on May 30, 1993 .
After further studies, he obtained a degree in canon law and entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on June 19, 2000. He was active in the nunciatures in various countries and in the state secretariat, most recently in the rank of nunciatura.
On 15 February 2018 Pope appointed him Francis to Titular Archbishop of Maastricht and the apostolic nuncio in Nicaragua . The Pope himself donated him and the newly appointed nuncios Alfred Xuereb and José Avelino Bettencourt the episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year .
