Valeri Konstantinowitsch Lwow ( Russian Валерий Константинович Львов ; born February 20, 1953 in Cheboksary ) is a former Soviet amateur boxer, vice European lightweight champion in 1975 and light welterweight champion in 1978.
successes
Lwow won the 1972 European Junior Featherweight Championships . In 1973 and 1975 he won the international police championships in Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union. He is also the Soviet champion from 1975 and 1978, as well as the 1975 Spartakiade winner.
At the European Championships in Poland in 1975 he was eliminated in the final against Simion Cuțov and thus won the silver medal. He celebrated his greatest success at the 1978 World Championships in Belgrade , when he defeated Andrés Aldama and Mehmet Bogujevci , among others , and won the gold medal.
