Walibi Sud-Ouest (formerly Walibi Aquitaine ) is a leisure and amusement park , located in the south of France in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Roquefort is. Originally the first Walibi Park, the park was created in 1975 in amusement parks by Eddy Meeùs , a Belgian businessman. The Walibi Sud-Ouest is the smallest of the five Walibi parks. On April 24, 1992 the park was founded under the name "Walibi Aquitaine". Five years later, the American amusement park chain Six Flags took over the park. Six Flags sold the park to the British company StarParks in 2004 . Two years later the park was sold to the French amusement park chain Grévin & Cie . In the 2011 season the park was officially renamed “Walibi Sud-Ouest”. The Spanish Aspro Parks Group has been the new operator of the park since 2014 .

Aqualand Agen water park

Directly next to the amusement park site there has been a separate water park since 2017, which was first opened as Parc Aquatique Walibi on a 1.5 hectare area on July 31, 2017. The Spanish Aspro Parks Group invested around 12 to 15 million euros in the construction of the new water park, which includes 18 water slides and a restaurant on a total area of ​​five hectares. In January 2018 the water park was renamed Aqualand Agen . The actual opening took place at the start of the season on June 23, 2018. Admission to the water park can be done separately or in combination with a visit to the amusement park. A special combination ticket is available for this.
