Walter Dietrich (born December 24, 1902 , † November 27, 1979 ) was a Swiss football player .

As a 17-year-old, Dietrich belonged to FC Basel , for which he played in the Central Group of Serie A point games from 1919 to 1922. The seasons ended with a second , seventh and third place . The 1922/23 season he played in Group West 1 of the series Promotion for Forward Morges ; the club finished the season in second place. From 1923 to 1925 he was active in the Group West of Serie A for Servette Geneva . If his team finished third in the final round in 1924 , they won it in 1925.

He then belonged to Frankfurt Eintracht from 1925 to 1938 . In the championships organized by the South German Football Association , he played as a striker in the Main District League until 1927 , and then in the Main / Hessen District League until 1933 . As runner-up in the Main District League, he took part in the finals for the South German Championship in 1927 with his team. National team

Dietrich played 14 international matches for the Swiss national team . He also scored one goal each in the following three international matches in 1924 against the national teams of Denmark , Hungary and Germany .
