Walter Kudlich

Walter Kudlich , also written to Walther (born October 25, 1857 in Wilhelmsburg , Austrian Empire , † April 18, 1930 in Troppau , Czechoslovakia ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of Hermann Kudlich (1809–1886), a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly and nephew of the “peasant liberator” Hans Kudlich , Walter Kudlich studied law in Vienna after attending the Troppauer Staatsgymnasium . During his studies in 1876 he became a member of the Silesia fraternity in Vienna . He was also a member of the Troppauer Ferialverbindungen Germania . After completing his studies, he worked in the judiciary, from 1893 in Troppau, where he became a regional judge in 1903 and later a higher regional judge . He was the founder of the Nordmark Protection Association from 1898 to 1921 . From 1898 to 1914 he was a member of the Silesian state parliament , from 1908 to 1919 mayor of Troppau.

His sons were Reinhard Kudlich (1902–1943) and Werner Kudlich , his grandson Jörg Kudlich .
