Jörg Kudlich

Jörg Kudlich (born April 9, 1936 in Troppau , Czechoslovakia ; † July 12, 2009 in Herrsching am Ammersee ) was a German lawyer and politician of the CSU . Kudlich was active in Bavarian state politics as well as in the associations of the Sudeten Germans and was Ministerialrat in the Bavarian State Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs, Family and Women.

Life

Jörg Kudlich was Deputy Federal Chairman from 1976 to 1982 and Federal Chairman of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft from 1983 to 1987 . As federal chairman, Kudlich was the successor to the CSU member of the Bundestag Walter Becher and the predecessor of the CSU member and Bavarian minister Franz Neubauer . In addition, he was a leading member of several other Sudeten German organizations. From 1982 to 1987 he was general secretary of the Sudeten German Council , from 1992 to 2000 chairman of the Sudeten German Archives and from 1997 to 2006 chairman of Heimwerk e. V., the sponsoring association of the Adalbert Stifter dormitory in Waldkraiburg . He was also a member of the Collegium Carolinum . The German guild led Kudlich as a member.

Kudlich was regularly elected a member of the Federal Assembly between 1963 and 2007 .

Awards

In 1998, Kudlich was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for his varied and unselfish activities in favor of his old homeland and the preservation of the cultural identity of the Sudeten German ethnic group . Joachim Herrmann, then State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Labor, presented this award .

In 2000, Kudlich was awarded the August Sauer plaque for his country team work in the working group for cultural home collections .

relationship

Kudlich is a great-great-nephew of the "peasant liberator" Hans Kudlich . His grandfather Walter Kudlich (1857–1930) was mayor from 1908 to 1919, his uncle Reinhart Kudlich (1902–1943) from 1938 to 1943 mayor of Troppau. The father Werner Kudlich (1903-1945) was the director of the Silesian State Museum Opava , today's Slezské zemské muzeum Opava .
