Walter Lampe (theologian)

Walter Lampe (* 1942 ) is a German Lutheran theologian . From 1989 to 2007 he headed the Diakonisches Werk Stadtverband Hannover and was Diakonie pastor of Hannover .

Life

Walter Lampe studied Protestant theology in Göttingen , Kiel and Hamburg . After the vicariate in Ronnenberg from 1969 to 1971 he was parish pastor in Hanover-Wettbergen . In 1980, Lampe became the city youth pastor of Hanover. From 1989 to 2007 he headed the Diaconal Work of the City Church Association of Hanover and was Diakonie Pastor in Hanover. During his time as a diaconal pastor, he initiated numerous projects such as social housing assistance, the social department store - fairKauf cooperative , “Hippy” - an integration program for migrant families, and the diaconal foundation “Help for the neighbor”. Lampe was also the initiator and until 2012 publisher of the social street newspaper Asphalt in Hanover.

From 1975 to 1985, Lampe was a lecturer in theology, youth work and diakonia at the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Hanover .
