Walther Münch-Ferber

Walther Münch-Ferber (born December 13, 1850 in Hof ; † January 2, 1931 there ) was a German entrepreneur (textile manufacturer) and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Münch-Ferber attended the elementary school and the Latin school in Hof, the Keilhau pedagogy and the business school in Dresden . 1870/1871 he participated as a volunteer in the cavalry at the Franco-German War part and from 1871 to 1876 he stayed abroad. In 1876 he took over his father's company in Hof.

In 1889 he had the Münch-Ferber-Villa built in the style of the Florentine Renaissance , which is still in the Münch-Ferber-Straße in Hof.

From 1893 to December 1904 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Upper Franconia 1 ( Hof , Naila , Rehau , Münchberg ) and the National Liberal Party .

Münch-Ferber-Strasse in Hof is named after him.
