Wandrille Lefèvre (born December 17, 1989 in Chartres , France ) is a French-Canadian football player who is used as a defender .
Career
Club career
Lefèvre was born in France and grew up there. In 2003 he moved to Canada from Perpignan . He attended the Collège Stanislas and the Université de Montréal . He was used for the football selection teams of both the college and the university, the Carabins de Montréal .
As of 2011, Lefèvre was part of the Montreal Impact Academy and played for the Montreal Impact U-21 selection. In 2011 he played temporary in two games for the first team of the Impacts in the North American Soccer League , so that he came in this way to his professional debut . From 2012 he regularly took part in the training of the Montreal Impact professional team and was used in the MLS Reserve League .
In February 2013, Lefèvre officially joined the professional team of Montreal Impact by signing a contract with Maxim Tissot according to the Homegrown Player Rule and thus being able to bypass the MLS SuperDraft .
He made his first major league soccer game on April 27, 2013 when he came on for Alessandro Nesta in the game against Chicago Fire . In this game he prepared a goal . In the 2013 season he made a total of six league appearances, and he also played in the CONCACAF Champions League and the Canadian Championship . Lefèvre was also used several times in the MLS Reserve League.
In the 2014 season Lefèvre was used 15 times in the MLS, 13 times from the start. He also played three group games in the 2013/14 Champions League and also played in the Canadian Championship.
National team
In July 2015, Lefèvre received Canadian citizenship and was therefore also eligible for the Canadian national football team . He decided to play for the Canadian selection in the future and was used for the first time on October 13, 2015 in the friendly against the selection of Ghana .
