Wang Zhiqiang ( Chinese  王志强 , Pinyin Wáng Zhìqiáng ; born January 17, 1986 ) is a former Chinese ice hockey player who last played until 2010 with the China Sharks in the Asia League Ice Hockey .

Career

Wang Zhiqiang began his career in the team from Qiqihar , with which he became Chinese national champion in 2004. From 2004 he played with the team that called itself Changchun Fu'ao in the 2006/07 season in the Asia League Ice Hockey . After the team merged with the Hosa team in 2007 , he played for the fusion product China Sharks , where he ended his career in 2010.

International

In the junior division, Wang first played for China at the U18 World Cup in the Asia-Oceania Division in 2002 . With the Chinese U20 selection, he took part in the U20 World Cup in 2004 in Division III and in the World Championships in Division II in 2005 and 2006 .

For the Chinese men's selection , Wang Zhiqiang played at the Division II World Championships in 2006 , 2008 when he was the tournament's top scorer with Australians Greg Oddy and Lliam Webster , and in 2010 when he was part of the squad but was not used. In 2007 he was in Division I in the team from the Middle Kingdom.
