The Warndt nature reserve is located in the Saarlouis district and in the Saarbrücken regional association in Saarland .

The area extends southwest of Völklingen . The state border with France runs along the western and southern fringes of the area and not far to the east . The state road L 165 runs through the area , north the L 168 and west the B 269 .
