Weichendorf is a district in the municipality of Memmelsdorf in the Bamberg district with 588 inhabitants.
history
The place, formerly also Weikkendorf , was mentioned for the first time in 1090.
Around 1136 the place was sold to the Michelsberg monastery . Until the 19th century the place consisted of 24 farmsteads .
The Michelsbergischer Hof zu Weichendorf was divided into two fiefdoms . After the Thirty Years War , the halves were cut in half again.
The secularization ended the feudal system. At that time, Weichendorf had 27 houses, all of which were loanable to the royal Hallstadt rent office .
The volunteer fire brigade , which still exists today, was launched in 1894.
On January 1, 1972, the previously independent place was in the town of Memmelsdorf incorporated .
