Drosendorf is a district of the municipality of Memmelsdorf in the Bamberg district with 1409 inhabitants.

history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1157.

There is evidence that the feudal system ruled in Drosendorf around 1200 . The chair brothers were the most important feudal lords until the secularization of 1802/1803. After that Drosendorf had 53 houses. Six were loaned to the royal rent office in Hallstadt and 43 to the royal women's monastery in Munich . Four houses remained in the Drosendorf community.

The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1863 and the first school building was inaugurated on October 11, 1886.

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent place was in the town of Memmelsdorf incorporated .
