The Vineyard at Hohenwarthe is a nature reserve in the unified community Moser in Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0017 is around 5.41  hectares in size. It is largely part of the FFH area "Elbaue between Saale estuary and Magdeburg" and the conservation area "Umfluthehle-Külzauer Forest" surrounded. The area has been under protection since 1939 (date of regulation: April 1, 1939). The originally 28 hectare nature reserve was reduced to its present size in 1978. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Jerichower Land.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Magdeburg in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve . It protects a steep slope of the vineyard that is exposed to the southwest and sloping towards the Elbe . Various forest communities falter on the slope . In the south there is a dense field elm forest, in which the field elm is no longer present due to the dying of the elm , as well as hornbeam field elm forest on the lower and middle slopes. On the edges of the forest to the plateau of the vineyard, elderberry bushes often grow . In the north, hair feather grass steppe lawns and pinnacles are lawns on loess soil , u. a. with lying speedwell and pyramid schiller grass , as well as silver grass and ostrich grass fields on sandy soils , u. a. to be found with ear spoon glue , kelchsteinkraut and clove . The grass areas are heavily overgrown . There is also a meadow orchard and smaller grassland areas in the nature reserve. In the humid area of ​​a source area in the north of the protected area, bitter foam herb and blue-green rush settle .

The nature reserve is the habitat for numerous birds , including the nightingale and the small woodpecker . It is also a habitat for badgers and wild rabbits .

On the plateau of the vineyard, agricultural areas adjoin the nature reserve.
