The Bürgermeister Schweinhardt winery is a family-run winery. It manages property in the Nahe and Middle Rhine wine-growing regions . The company is located in the center of Langenlonsheim on the lower reaches of the Nahe between Bad Kreuznach and Bingen .

The Schweinhardt family has been growing wine in Langenlonsheim since 1859 . The winery is named after Willi Schweinhardt , the former Rhineland-Palatinate member of the state parliament and mayor of Langenlonsheim. Axel Schweinhardt has been the cellar master in the winery since 1993. In 2007 he took over the winery from his father Wilhelm Schweinhardt as the owner. The winemaking family sees the terroir diversity of the soils as a special feature. In addition to the wines, fine brandies are also made from the grapes in the farm's own severance payment distillery.

The company cultivates a vineyard area of ​​34 hectares (status 2010), eight hectares of which are on steep slopes with a total production of 150,000 bottles. One of the prime locations and floors, which includes Langenlonsheimer Rothenberg (red shale ), the Langenlonsheimer King Shield ( limestone ) and the Langenlonsheimer Löhrer Berg (terraces crushed stone , gravel ). Other prime locations in the Middle Rhine wine-growing region are the Kauber oven ( blue slate ), Oberweseler Oelsberg ( green slate ) and the Oberweseler Goldemund (green slate).
Since 1993 all areas have been cultivated according to the guidelines of "controlled, environmentally friendly viticulture". In addition, 100 percent of the grapes are harvested by hand.

Be of grape varieties Riesling with 50 percent and gray and Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay grown 25 percent. On a small scale, the areas are still planted with Scheurebe , Kerner , Bacchus , Gewürztraminer and Silvaner . Awards

The winery received eight federal honorary awards . The Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture awarded the winegrower four state awards at the state awards for wine and sparkling wine in recent years - most recently in October 2009. The “ Gault Millau WeinGuide” recently rated the winery with 3 grapes, after it had been rated with five grapes in 1999 and was named “Winemaker of the Year”. In 2008, Schweinhardt received 4 stars in Gerhard Eichelmann's wine guide .
