Wine hiking trail Obertürkheim - Uhlbach - Rotenberg - Untertürkheim
The Obertürkheim - Uhlbach - Rotenberg - Untertürkheim wine hiking trail is a 12-kilometer hiking trail in Stuttgart . He opened up the wine-growing area around Uhlbach , where viticulture was mentioned as early as 1247 in deeds of donation from the Counts of Württemberg.

The city of Stuttgart gives the Stuttgart-Obertürkheim train station as a starting point . From here the hiking trail runs along Augsburger and Uhlbacher Strasse. There is a publicly accessible park at Villa Kayser at number 7. Via the Kirchsteig, the hiker reaches the Petruskirche behind a hairpin , which can be traced back to a pilgrimage church mentioned in 1285 . The path now leads in a north-easterly direction through the vineyards over the Äckerlesweg on the Uhlbacher Straße to Uhlbach. The Uhlbach Wine Museum is located on Uhlbacher Platz, to the southeast of this is the St. Andrew's Church with its octagonal church tower , which is covered with glazed tiles. At the end of Luise-Benger-Straße there is a slight ascent again into the vineyards. The hiker passes a vineyard house typical of the region and a large boulder , the large stone . Along the Götzenbergstraße, the hiking trail crosses the Riesenbach and allows a first view of the burial chapel on the Württemberg in Rotenberg . The route to Untertürkheim takes you on Württembergstrasse and offers a view of the main Daimler plant. The hiking trail then circles the 354 meter high Mönchberg and leads back to the starting point parallel to the Neckar . The Rotenberg wine press of the Collegium Wirtemberg set up several display boards along the route, which show the work in the vineyard as well as individual grape varieties .
