A world cup in canoeing is held in several disciplines.

Canoe Racing World Cup

In the canoe racing -Weltcup ( Canoe Sprint World Cup ) is supported by the International Canoe Federation coordinates (ICF). Usually four events at different locations are included in the rating each year. The finals are the world championships and will take place in August. In the years in which the Olympic Games take place, there is no World Cup, then there are usually only three World Cups.

For men there are competitions over 1000 m in the categories single kayak (K1), two-person kayak (K2), four-person kayak (K4), single-canoe (C1) and two-person canoe (C2), as well as over 200 m in categories K1, K2 and C1. For the overall World Cup for men K1, the distances of 1000 m and 200 m are counted.

For women there are competitions over 200 m and 500 m in categories K1, K2 and K4, as well as over 500 m in C1.

Canoe Slalom World Cup

The canoe slalom -Weltcup ( Canoe Slalom World Cup ) will be held in different ways. World Cups took place in 2011. There was a rating for K1 and C1 for women and men, as well as a rating for men C2.

Canoe White Water Racing World Cup

The canoe whitewater racing -Weltcup ( Wildwater Canoeing World Cup ) is supported by the International Canoe Federation coordinates (ICF).

For men and women there are competitions in the categories single kayak (K1), single canoe (C1) and two-way canoe (C2). Since the 2012 season, the number of World Cup competitions has been reduced from 3 to 2 sprint and 2 classic competitions each.
