Wenceslas II (Teschen-Zator)
Wenceslas II of Zator (* around 1450 ; † 1484/1487 ) was Duke of Zator from 1468 until his death . He came from the Teschen branch of the Silesian Piasts .
Life
Wenceslas II. Parents were Wenceslaus I and his wife Maria Kopczowska († after 1468), who came from Sewerien .
After the father's death in 1465, Wenceslaus II, his older brother Casimir II and the younger brothers Johann V and Wladislaus inherited the Duchy of Zator, which they initially administered together. In 1474 they divided it into two parts, the border of which was the Skawa . Wenceslas II and the first-born Casimir II received the eastern part, while the younger brothers Johann V and Wladislaus were assigned the western part. The town of Zator , which lies off the Skawa, and the castle there were also divided.
Wenceslaus II died between 1484 and 1487 unmarried and without descendants. His brother Casimir II succeeded him as heir to his share.
