Wepemneferet is the name of an ancient Egyptian prince and official in the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom . He was believed to be the son of King ( Pharaoh ) Cheops .

Wepemneferet held high titles such as "Director of Transport" ( Heka-mehedj ), " Manager of the barges" ( Adj-mer-imu ), " Prophet of the goddess Heket " ( Hem-netjer- Heqet ), "Prophet of the goddess Seschat " ( Hem-netjer-Seschat ), "Prophet of the god Anubis " ( Hem-netjer-Inpu ), "Prophet of the god Horus-in-the-north " ( Hem-netjer-Heru-mechti ), " priest of the souls of Pe " ( Hem-bau-pe ), " chet- priest of Ha " ( Chet-Ha ), "Overseer of the royal scribes" ( Medjeh-djeschui-nesut ), "Overseer of the Mehit" ( Medjehu-mehit ), " Foremost of the archives of the Confidants of the King ”( Chentet-per-medjehut-rech-nesut ) and“ Great of the Ten of Upper Egypt ”( Wer-medj-schemau ).

Wepemneferet was buried in the mastaba G 1201 in the so-called Westfriedhof , the largest cemetery on the pyramid plateau of Giza . The grave was discovered in March 1905 by George Andrew Reisner during his excavations in Giza. Wepemneferet's name and his title were found on a grave slab embedded in the lintel with an offering table scene , the relief inscriptions of which were partially painted.
