Who offers more? was an entertainment show produced by the production company UFA Show & Factual in 2016 for NDR television. In the show moderated by Kai Pflaume , the candidates each presented an item for sale. Several dealers made offers to purchase it. The first program was broadcast on March 27, 2016, the two further episodes Easter Monday and Whit Monday 2016. The series follows the model of the British format "Four Rooms", which has been on Channel 4 since 2011 .

concept

At the beginning, four dealers are presented with a guest's exhibit that is offered for sale. After that, the dealers withdraw to their four rooms separately. The guest can decide for himself which dealer to go to first. He then negotiates with the seller and, if interested, makes an offer. If this offer is not accepted, the guest may go to the next dealer, but the previous room may not be re-entered. If the presented object is not sold, the guest takes the object back home.

Dealer

The dealers appearing in the show were Thomas Käfer , George Mullen , Marcel Struck and Jenny Falckenberg-Blunck. Falckenberg-Blunck is the daughter of the art collector Harald Falckenberg , and herself works as an art agent and gallery owner in Hamburg.

reception

Manuel Nunez Sanchez fromquote meter confirmed that the 2016 TV show had the potential to "soon be shown in front of a larger audience". Alexander Krei from the Internet magazine DWDL said in 2016 that the program could be watched as well as cash for rares .

In 2018, the same author said that when UFA tried to adapt the successful British format Four Rooms to the German market for the second time at Die Superhandel - 4 Raum, 1 Deal on RTL, UFA stuck to the successful British original, as the NDR show Who offers more ? flopped. Oliver Kalkofe rated the show in 2016 as "similar and unnecessary as cash for Rares on ZDF". Kalkofe criticized it as a "new insignificance for casual moderation" and "high-speed entertainment of the Galama level snoring."
