Løgtingswahl 1932
The 1932 Løgtingswahl in the Faroe Islands took place on January 19, 1932. It was the first Løgting election in which four parties participated.
The vote
The unionist-minded Sambandsflokkurin was able to improve by a few percent at the expense of Sjálvstýrisflokkurin and won an absolute majority in parliament with 11 out of 21 seats. The result of the social democratic Javnaðarflokkurin was almost unchanged from the last election. Loysingarflokkurin, who was running for the first time and was strongly separatist, had no chance. An independent candidate received a little less than two percent and also did not get into parliament.

The total number of MPs fell from 23 to 21. Four parties and an independent candidate took part in the election, three of which entered parliament.
